做厙腦瞳Supports Bill to Expand Physician Workforce

As part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Advocacy Coalition, 做厙腦瞳and 60+ fellow healthcare organizations and medical societies have issued support for the bipartisan Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act of 2025 (S. 2493 / H.R. 4731). The bill aims to expand the physician workforce by creating 2,000 new Medicare-supported GME positions annually over seven years, for a total of 14,000 new positions. A portion will be allocated to high-need areas.

Action to expand the workforce is urgently needed, as America is projected to face a physician shortage of up to 86,000 primary care and specialty doctors by 2036.
